Steering along the boundary between acoustic and electronic methods, The Spids are really a folk band. Certainly they use a sampler, cut and paste sounds and know their way around a laptop, but these guys are currently listening to Dylan bootlegs, Eliza Carthy, Bert Jansch, and the Small Faces.
The Spids formed in 1997, and have been recording and gigging since then, utilising the net to promote their material. Currently based in Penryn, Cornwall, after extensive work across the UK.
